With a new CHIRON FZ 16 S five axis machining center, the production technology service provider Rau AG from Bülach near Zurich is systematically continuing its success story in the automated production of precision parts.
Rau was partner in the development of the FZ 16 S and is using the machine for a new project for precision parts in optimal color measuring systems. Kennametal was looking for a machine to produce drills of up to 2 m in length. They succeeded in making this big step with CHIRON's MILL 3000 five axis machining center.
It's not a new revelation, but it proves true time and again: The sales department sells the first machine, the service department sells the rest.
